all shops where i live only sell racing corn tumbler mix so if i was going to make a good tippler feed what individual seeds would i buy to make a well balanced feed
A number of them are rich in fibre, grain type it is buck wheat, barley,
oat,( oat is also higher in fat) corn, milo ...... in seeds... canary
millet, sesame seed, hemp , rape, flax....with the last three we have to
careful of the amount because o a high fat content. As for the legumes,
beans, (mung, faba, vetch) are also rich in fibre.

Barley is an excellent nutritious food for pigeons. It has a starch content
of 62.5%, a protein content of 7.5%, and a low fat content of 1.2%. The
fiber content is 1.3%. Like other cereals, barley has a high vitamin B
content.
Unlike most other grains, barley has a good vitamin D and mineral content.
Fat content of seeds
The fat content in my feed is consistently between 2% - 5%. This of course
is not for birds in competition but for the molting, breeding and rest
periods only. Closer to 5% in the breeding period, 3% or so in molting and
2% in rest period.
Anything more than 5% for me is too much and only for a short period of
time.
