Hi Kemo,
These photos 'n info may help or not... :-)
The first photo is from an article titled Some Thoughts On Breeding by Harry
Shannon in the NTU Yearbook of 1987.
The other photo is from Harry and appeared in the FTS newsletter August
2004.

The photos show that Harry has had Tipplers with white markings for over 20

I was talking to harry Shannon last night he told me to let u know that the
Irish lads did not join the n.t.u till 1978. the Irish had their own union ,
he said he started flying tipplers at the age of 16 and him and his mate
Wesley Ferguson flew the Billingham birds, and in 1966 on the same night the
2 off them broke the Irish record and were the 1st men to fly a kit over
19hrs over here, they called time at the same time 19hrs10Min's not by luck
,they knew what they were doing .hope this helps a wee bit of history , as

As I understand Harry's birds are English tipplers m8 not Irish just because he lives in Ireland. I believe Shannon birds have Sam Billingham origin....and tipplers are an
English development. Take a look at this attachment by Bobby Dunseith of N. Ireland and read closely the last paragraph.
