Is it possible for someone to tell me what colours do Hughes (pure bred ) come in please. If possible pilot pigeons (purebred) as well please. I am looking for a purebred pilot cock and pair of purebred Hughes to go with my existing birds for new blood introduction.
A copy of my breeding chart covering 25 years of breeding wherein I produced
my own strain of tipplers. Of course, I bred very many more birds than those
shown which mostly flew very well, and I have of course supplied fanciers
throughout the world with good birds. However, I have only shown on the
chart the ones I used for stock. All the birds shown were produced from
two-half brothers . .
Yes mate i know a little bit about the Hughes lol, I think the badge
interest has been flogged to death on this forum, basically in a nutshell
the heavy badge influence you see in birds being described as Hughes birds,
are what you already have mentioned Welsh Badges.
The only true pure colours attributed to be Gordon Hughes are Greys and
Blues with some Blues with the odd whi

The other day you mentioned you may come away from the Bodens ?? I forgot to
ask why ?? Have you found em too low like we've been hearing down here or
dya prefer the cobbier type of the Hughes family etc ? Have ya ever flew
straight Bodens ???

i fly a hughes type of bird what you will find after a couple of weeks they
will steady off to a medium height and start to get into there rakin pattern
also the feed as got a lot to do with the height they fly just dabble a bit
with the training feed and see what suits the style you like the thing is
mate you dont realy want them up in the pins all the time as they get picked
off
