Nino,
Great question & challenge you put on the table when you said "As to your
other point Raul, Peter and Harpreet are active flyers, and good ones. But
let them sit back on their asses for a number of years, and only keep birds
they raised from their original stock, that have been bred down for six or
more generations, let them tell us what happens when they just pick a bird
from a perch. Would they be as successful as they were 6 years earlier ??

Sorry to ask, what you mean "and only keep birds they raised from their
original stock " are you saying birds raised from original stock are not
good??!!

As you know I am just a new kid on the block as far tippler / breeding goes.
I got into tipplers in 2003. Certainly not informed as you claim yourself to
be informed. Based on my experience from 2003 to now I have much better
stock and gain more understanding. Yes!! I can pick a bird from perch today
and improve on my 2003 times as have demonstrated few times.

In light of your question I like to ask you. Have you bred a kit of birds or
a single bird who's ancestors were bred by you? If so, can you track them
back 6 generations as you have asked me? I guess theory is much simple than
practical what I find. Do you agree?

Harpreet
