Hey Dave ,

About the eye color in pigeons, Orange is the dominant color in pigeons, and
pear is recessive. As for your thoughts on Strains and eye color it is not a
factor. The only factor is their gene make-up for that particular Trait.

If a bird has two recessive genes for pearl, and so does its counterpart,
then all they can produce is pearl as they simple do not posses anything
else.
