Tippler Subject Category:

What we are talking about here is a Breed that has been cultivated for many years now as you know. There is no breed standard for the EFT as there is for the Show Tippler, as you know. Let me ask you this, in this world of the internet, and its far reaching abilities to bring us together around the world, just how many fanciers are there breeding these ET ?/ Hundreds, thousands, all with a certain train of thought on how and what they want from the breed in terms of type, performance, wing, general conformation, short on leg, long on leg, short in face, long in face, certain head type and so on. Now when we take into account those that stick with there dreams and ideals for 20 or 40 years, there will be those that have indeed created a Strain that conforms to their individual Ideals. All ET but showing different characteristics in terms of type, all the product of ones ideals.

This is why you get a dissimilarity in birds when they are introduced from many sources. There is no written standard that you seek, this is not a dog show where every breed has a written standard ! Let me ask you this, if you were to go to a dog show, sit down and watch a ring full of say, retrievers in the ring, say 10 of them. All in the open class ( that means a year of age old ) at fist glance they all look the same, but to the trained eye, one that understands the Standard, they all differed, all retrievers but all different. Why I ask you ? Also what makes a great stud dog ? his ability to conform to the standard, no, what makes a great stud dog is his ability to pass on his great genetics to his offspring, that's what makes a great stud dog and its the same with pigeons or pigs, the rest are just mediocre.

In simple terms, the vast dissimilarities form one loft to another is largely the product of them being genetically dissimilar in terms of purity for certain characteristics and traits, and that is the reason that I think you are asking this question. Until a fancier takes the many years of dedication that it takes to create a Strain, this will be the outcome. In the end, all they have is there genetic ancestry .

Hope this makes sense to you.
