You missed it buddy :-) There is no need to sensationalise the issue by
involving humans being eaten. It was a super simple analogy We each "choose"
to breed and release a particular animal be it fish or bird into an
environment we know to be hostile, yesterday I saw my birds hit at around
800 feet (pins) and I defy any shooter to try hit a Peregrine at 200mph, she
carried one off to the local quarry where Im told by mates there are 100's
of pigeon bands at the bottom of a rock face ?? Now before we start talking
all Rambo ish and break out the abseiling gear, these birds are territorial
and removing a pair would only increase the feeding ground of the
neighbours. Looky here now, I know it must seem like the few Aussies who do
try to fly , keep blaming the falcon but like you say, you really dont know
our environment and yesterdays attack highlights the futility of pointing
rifles at a "killer" one kilometre in the air in attack mode.
Ask any (thinking) man outside our sport for his take on our collective
dilemma and the sharper ones will state something like..............
" You choose to breed and release, uneducated, newly fledged ,plump young
birds that know only how to fly in tight little circles way up above your
house where many predators hunt for food......... then you lament over the
fact that the predator had the nerve to accept one of your "offerings" ???.
.........What did you expect ???........... Just my thought Frank :-)
