each of us live in different environment. We do not have ocean over here so
I cannot fully understand your point of view. Are you trying to say that if
a shark starts hanging around a beach and this deters people from going
swimming, nothing is done in your part of the world?

Let me give you an example what is done here with bears (BTW, they are very
strictly protected over here because of their very low numbers). Bears
normally feed on forest berries, small rodents and when they touch meat from
a bigger animal, it would be the meat from already dead animal (a carcass).
Now, if an individual bear starts hanging around human dwellings and takes
let's say sheep from herds on regular bases, it left its natural ways, and
is killed ASAP. It is not the bear we want to protect because it is not the
bear that deserves to be a part of the nature. Besides, it costs the
government money in reimbursements :-)

However, let's speak about falcons. Over here they are bred in captivity,
fed on pigeons and released into nature. In other parts of the world,
falcons nest on downtown highrises. Is this natural ?

Birds are not stupid. Not long time ago the local hawks knew if they came
stealing to human dwellings they would be shot at (and possibly killed), yet
they survived in their natural environment (mountains).
